Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 28, 2026
Besmi (“Besmi,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the software platform available at besmi.io and related subdomains (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from people who use the Service or interact with it on behalf of a business that uses Besmi, how we use that information, and the choices available to you.
Besmi is a business-to-business platform. Most people who interact with Besmi do so either (a) as an authorized user of an organization that subscribes to the Service (for example, a loan officer at a mortgage brokerage that uses Besmi), or (b) as a customer or prospect of one of those organizations, receiving communications sent through the platform on the organization’s behalf.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account or are added to an organization’s workspace, we collect your name, email address, role, organization affiliation, and authentication credentials.
Contact information you provide. If you provide a phone number, business address, or other contact information in your profile or as part of using the Service, we store that information to operate the Service.
Information about people you communicate with through Besmi. If you use Besmi to manage relationships with your prospects, clients, partners, or other contacts, we store the names, contact details, communication history, and other information you choose to record about those individuals. This information belongs to your organization (the “Customer Data”); we process it on your organization’s behalf.
Communications content. Calls, text messages, and emails sent or received through the Service are stored and associated with the relevant contact record so they can be retrieved and reviewed within your workspace. Call recordings, when enabled by the organization, are stored securely and accessible only to authorized users within that organization.
Usage and device information. We collect log data about how the Service is used, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages or screens viewed, and time stamps. This information is used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- authenticate users and protect against unauthorized access;
- process subscriptions and respond to support requests;
- deliver communications (calls, texts, emails) you or your organization initiate through the Service;
- send transactional notifications and account-related messages (such as verification codes, security alerts, billing notices, and product updates);
- analyze usage to improve the Service, with personally identifying information minimized or removed where practical;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Information sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below.
With the organization that controls your workspace. If you are a user of an organization’s Besmi workspace, your activity within that workspace, including communications you send through the Service, is visible to administrators of that organization.
Service providers. We use a small number of sub-processors to operate the Service (for example, our cloud hosting provider, database provider, and telephony provider). Sub-processors access information only to perform services on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security commitments.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, necessary to enforce our terms, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Besmi, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If Besmi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your information.
4. SMS communications
Besmi may send text messages to your mobile phone number for purposes including account verification, security alerts, and transactional notifications, when you have provided your number and consented to receive such messages. Organizations that use Besmi may also send text messages to their own customers and prospects through the Service, based on consent obtained directly by that organization.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Mobile information collected for SMS communications is used only to deliver the messages you or the organization you interact with have authorized, and to provide related support.
Message frequency varies based on your account activity, the organization you interact with, and the type of messages you have consented to receive. You will not receive recurring marketing messages unless you have explicitly opted in to a marketing program.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages sent or received. Besmi does not charge a fee for sending or receiving SMS, but your carrier may.
Opting out. You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which you will not receive further messages from that number unless you reply START. Reply HELP to any message to receive support contact information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and session storage) to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit your ability to use parts of the Service.
6. Data security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Sensitive credentials and tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure; in the event of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. You can request these by contacting us at the address below. If you are an end-user of an organization that uses Besmi, please direct requests about Customer Data to that organization in the first instance.
8. Children
Besmi is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of the page and, where appropriate, notify users through the Service or by email.
